Version 5 has a new interface with selectable color themes. It is unicode throughout which means it will be capable of dealing with documents and spreadsheets in all languages. And to make it easier to use, task panes appear in every application.
New features highlights per module:
 | Write - autoshapes, sections, autocorrect of sentence case, advanced search and replace, table of contents, imporved Word import. |
 | Presentation - improved PPT import/export, export to HTML, spell check and grammar tools integration, object transparancy, PNG alpha channel, metafiles, solid fills opacity. |
 | Database - advanced query designer, relationship manager. |
 | Photoalbum - export to HTML (create Web gallery), EXIF properties, thumbnail cache for quicker loading. |
 | Spreadsheet - Excel compatible custom number format, defined print areas, cell property task pane, autoshape support. |
 | Photopaint - dynamic brush shape/jitter/scatter, filter sequences and stack, texture generation. |
 | Draw - completely new vector based application to replace old Draw. Now uses the same engine as Presentation to support |
 | Launcher - new application to replace launcher toolbar. Launcher is now a system tray application for two click launch of applications and documents. |
