What do you need Gentee for?

This is the most frequently asked question that we get, and the answer may seem trite: to write programs! Everyone can find something useful in Gentee. The language is concise and does not contain any complicated constructions and concepts. You can not only use Gentee for free, but also participate in its development. Being the head of this project, I have written many lines of software code in Gentee. I enjoy programming in Gentee - I like its ideology; I like its spirit; and I love the language. We hope that Gentee will become a comfortable and powerful tool with which you can communicate with your computer. Even if we get only one new user of Gentee each day, we will know that our effort has not been in vain.

What kind of applications can be developed with Gentee?

Gentee allows you to create applications of any complexity. For example, you can look at a program for automating Windows tasks. It contains a script editor, scheduler, launcher and a macro recorder of keyboard & mouse events. 98% of source code were written with Gentee. Besides, the program Perfect Automation uses the programming language Gentee as a scripting language. The sequence of commands defined by the user, is transformed to the source Gentee code and compiled into an executable EXE file.
